Boy was **that** fun. It was so much fun that I’m getting up at 5:00 AM on Tuesday to do it again. Actually, it wasn’t all that horrible, considering we got paid overtime for today. But we spent 6 hours packing out singles, which while it may not be the most boring job, certainly ranks in the Top 3. Oh, I’m currently working for L.L. Bean as a mutli-packer in their Freeport, ME Distribution Center. That’s it. I hope everyone has a safe and semi-nice holiday weekend. ---

I’ll see your 5:00 and raise you **the same for Monday morning**. Which I have to work. And I don’t get paid overtime Mon. It’s a normal workday for me. ---

Until recently I had a temp job that required me to get up at 4:15 in the morning… seven days a week. And I am _definitely not_ a morning person. The only way that I could cope was going to sleep at 8:30 every night - even though I usually only need five or six hours of sleep. I put up with that holy hell for two and a half weeks before I finally quit (with the excuse that I need time off for the last few days before university starts up again). Now I get to sleep in **every** morning. 😃 Well, at least until school starts. But thank god I have a light schedule this semester. ---

I like going to work early. I start my day early, end my day early, and I can relax for the rest of the day without having to think about going to work again until the next morning. When I worked in fast food and in retail my shifts varied, especially in fast food. I hated days when I went in to work closing shifts. I hated getting up in the morning and having to think about how much I can get done in, say, 6 hours, and what I should do during that time. As the day progressed I realized I had 5 hours, then 4 and so on, until the moment came for me to get ready to leave for work. It was difficult to relax on such days with having to watch the clock and allocate my personal time accordingly. ---

Sorry boys and girls. Until you have to get out of bed at 2:30 AM to have a morning TV news program on the air at 5:00 AM (so you folks who get up that late can have news with your morning coffee) don’t complain. Try having a personal life when your day starts at 2:30 AM - go ahead, just try. ---
