I Guess this Rich Fuckin' Banker [Dominique Strauss-Kahn] is Too Cheap to Hire a Hooker

No, they don’t.

If you wanna rub one out, you use toilet paper and flush or throw it in the trash. Leaving it “all over the place?” WTF, are you 13?

Forcing someone to blow them? The power goes from him to the one with the teeth.

You’ve been watching too much Oz.

There’s no such thing as too much Oz.

Hey, that’s the age of consent in Spain!

Quartz, it’s hardly irrelevant when this sort of thing goes on all the time. Look at the scandals involving sports stars and alleged sexual harassment. The argument seems always to become “well, she’s doing it for money”. Is there a case where a woman falsely accusing a man of rape doesn’t have it backfire on her? Even in the Hamilton rape case, where the accuser did get paid a lot for her story, she was convicted of “perverting justice” and sentenced to up to seven years behind bars. I think the framing of these cases is an important subject, considering the “lying bitches” theme and the very low rates of reporting by sexual assault and rape victims.

Calling the head of the International Monetary Fund a banker doesn’t seem like a stretch to me. He was involved in negotiating loans, after all. Calling someone in a $3,000 a day suite rich isn’t a stretch either. And rich Socialist is not an oxymoron.

JFK and midtown Manhattan are not exactly next door. There is plenty of time for the maid to report it, her story to be checked out, and the plane brought back. Given that a quick check of the identity of the guy would reveal the risk of flight out of the country, what happened was hardly odd.

As for the cops hassling him, it is good to know that if you want security you should be some doper in Harlem, since politically powerful people in $3,000 a night suites are more likely to be oppressed by the man.

Here, sure, but what about in France?

The guy is a politician. The IMF gives foreign aid. Many of the “loans” are made without any expectation of being paid back. Also, I’m not saying the guy isn’t rich. However, the using the term “rich banker” as a pejorative is undoubtedly tied to Wall Street-type capitalist style banking, not Socialist style foreign aid politicians.

Let me put it another way, Bill Gates is obviously rich. He heads up the Gates Foundation. The Gates Foundation as part of its charitable works makes loans. Should Bill Gates now be referred to as a rich banker?

I’m not 63 but I’m definitely pushing 60, and if you keep moderately active there is a great truth to the statement that your strength is one of the last things you totally lose.

A 60 year old guy is going to typically have lost a good bit of reaction speed, some flexibility, some agility, but will still probably be far stronger than a normal woman. When I was in high school my grandfather was in his mid-60s and not in great shape even for a guy that age. Between him and my grandmother they were effectively caring full time for elderly parents (most pushing 90…I have a lot of longevity in my family) and something I remember doing all the time was having to help my grandfather move heavy pieces of furniture out of one of my great grandparent’s houses as they gave stuff away to other family members and things of that nature. I remember that moving stuff that required genuine effort from me, a fit teenager, my grandfather was still able to do and he certainly didn’t have trouble holding up his end of heavy furniture. My mother would have been unable to do that at all yet her father who was a senior citizen could.

Additionally when I make it out to the gym, I’m aware of at least three men age 50+ who can bench press 350 lbs and can still squat over 500 lbs. I’m aware of many more than that who can bench press their own weight, and some guys who look to be mid-60s or older I see at the gym and they are able of benching their own weight (180-220 lbs), 63 isn’t necessarily synonymous with “frail old guy who struggles to get out of bed in the morning.” And actually you could struggle to get out of bed in the morning because of general mobility problems and still maintain a high amount of strength.

Hiring a hooker is just a sex thing. It’s not an adequate substitute for a rapist, because rape is not just a sex thing.

 How dare you! I mean, really.

What I love about this story is there’s something for everyone, since the dude is both (i) a rich high finance-type guy (although not a “banker” really by any meaning of that term of which I am aware) and (ii) a socialist.

Where’s all the anti-semitism? I was promised anti-semitism.

You know who else was promised anti-semitism?

You’re kidding me? Wow, you guys really start early.
What’s the weather this time of year by the way in Spain? I dont know why but I think it would be a good time to visit.

Not seducer, notorious cheater, and cheating by using coercion. That’s not something that would raise a lot of approval in France (being different from the classic mistress thing that is not a huge problem for voters over here). There has been more than one story, many tales of him being extrememly pressing when he tries to “seduce”, verging on the point of agression.
Strauss-Khan was not the victim of a smear campaign, there was no reason to attack him in the last years. He did benefit for years from the fact nobody sued, nobody talked, and that it all comes back avalanche mode at him now is poetic justice.
Maybe it was a honey trap, but I frankly doubt it.

Still, I cant recall, in my entire lifetime, of such a crash and burn moment in French politics. The champion of the Left, possibly the next Prez, going down on a XIXth century boss-maid rape less than a year before the election.

I hope this isn’t implying what I think . . . .?

Perfect example of the disconnect of the imposed superficial economic system that everyone and their sister is bowing down in worship, and the reality of human nature that drives social interaction.

This guy was paying $3,000 a night for a hotel. Take a minute and think about it.

This guy had a biological induced dysfunction that made him abuse other people.

This guy was making decisions that affected the lives of millions of people around the world.

Live with that one.

Jon Stewart had a great bit about this tonight. The clip isn’t up yet, but basically it was along the lines of “The head of the IMF raping an African? This guy is practically posing for his own editorial cartoon.”
