But anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I cut a couple lengths of boilerplate and bent them into L brackets, case hardened them, and mounted this large rural box onto the affair. Since the brackets are lagged into the main frame for that part of the house, that damn box may be the last thing standing. And I could live with that idea. ---

To me they scream “Uncoordinated biker wanna-be!!!” As for mailboxes, a neighbor in FL got tired of the box bashing, so he had one built - formed from 1/4" steel plate and mounted as substantially, but painted plain black like any mailbox you’d get from the hardware store. I expect the first kid who tried to smash it in was also the last to pull that stunt. Anyway, good morning! Taz got thirsty at a ridiculous hour and I finally got up around 4 and turned on a trickle of water in the guest bathroom. He left us alone after that. Idiot cat. When I fell back to sleep, I dreamed that my daughter was going to attend Princeton. No, she’s never expressed an interest. I doubt she knows anything about Princeton. And in the dream, I never found out anything more because some idiot I worked with (in the dream, of course) had a modem that allowed him to intercept my cell calls, and he was being an ass talking over us. Then the alarm went off… I’ve got the first load of clothes in the washer, and at least 1 more will follow. It’s supposed to get close to 90° today and that translates to good drying weather. Once all the clothes are hanging out, I’ll grab a book and my folder of important papers and head to the MVA to camp out till I get my title. Since I have no idea how long that will take, I’ve made no other plans. Happy Tuesday, all!! ---

I’ve had physical terrorism for my knee and it works for a while, but then it doesn’t and my knee hurts again. It works well when it does work (especially when it involves electrotherapy and heat and massage), but it’s frustrating when you do all that work and it doesn’t do squat. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified for irk even so no _YAWN_ ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 for the day. We’re goin’ out for brekkie in a bit, just as soon as OYKW finishes up purtification. He wants to take some cookies to irk so we shall break fast at the Cookie Shoppe. YUM! My father used rebar and a railroad tie as a mailbox post because he got tired of folks runnin’ over the mailbox at the house where I grew up. There was a curve in the road and people would misjudge the curve and whomp the mailbox from time to time. The first time it happened after dad did that the post stayed in place and put a big dent in the front bumper of the truck that hit the post. After that, folks tended to slow down around that curve. 😃 Ok, OYKW is now all beautified so we shall head out for brekkie and the wonders of irk. At least I get to stay local today. I shall be in the orifice most of the mornin’ and have to go do some more monitorin’ (hence the exotic travels of late) this afternoon but around town so there’s that. Happy Tuesday Y’all! ---

Have been trying to put together a website on _Squarespace_. It’s not as easy as they like to pretend. I was a website designer for a long time, but the technology has gone way past what I used to do and now I would struggle to catch up, so I’ve fallen back on a modular site instead, it’s cheap, fast, modern, and reliable. But what a bugger of a CMS it has. Too fancy for its own good. In its attempt to be fully featured, it’s gotten near unusable. ---

Score another customer service victory!! I returned the pantsuit I’d ordered for my niece’s wedding because it was defective, but when they credited my account, they charged me the $7.50 restocking fee. Now, I could understand that if it was just a return, but had the garment been made correctly, I would not have had to return it, therefore I didn’t think it was fair that they charge me. So I emailed them to complain, and I just saw that they credited me my $7.50 - not a huge amount, but still, my money. So yay! And I didn’t even have to take the \*\*BBBobbio \*\*approach. I just stated the facts and asked for my money back. 😃 ---

“Another day breaks and the last one’s gone” I feel like I’ve reached the home stretch in my music arrangement. Only one more movement (section) to arrange, though it is the biggest of all the movements. (Haha, “movement.”) Then I will have finished… the first draft. It’s a big job. I injured my tongue yesterday, so I’m foregoing coffee in favour of soda water this morning. Sadly, I won’t be able to practice the clarinet today. Luckily I can still play the piano without my tongue. Keep getting my socks stuck in my piano though. Heh. ---

Well, that was entertainin. A transformer blew just after I arrived at irk. I heard a big **KA\*BOOM** and then no electricicals. Kudos to the city of Albeeny, specifically, Water, Gas, & Light for gettin’ it all fixed within the hour! Blurf, with a big ol’ serving on the side of harrumph. Odd and entertaining dreamage last night of a non-lurid nature. The plot harkened back to my fireman/EMT days, but I won’t elaborate because the word count to stupidity ratio is way too high. Extreme synopsis: it involved chasing stupid people out of a hazmat situation. Many times, I got to explain the hazmat mantra: “The rule of thumb is that if you can’t cover the entire scene with your thumb held at arm’s length, then you’re too damned close.” ---

It rained on my laundry, but the clouds are going away and sun is imminent. I’ve taken care of the title - just gotta wait 2 weeks for it to be mailed to me. Now, all we need is a buyer - OK, that dealer in PA is still a possibility, but I’ve kept my ads on line, just in case. Gotta run an errand for **FCD** , and I may go to the Amish market by the library for some strawberries, since my berry lady hasn’t come back this year, dammit. That’s for later. I think I’ll combine erranding with getting lunch out, just because. \*\*Midget \*\*- not a tongue sandwich, I hope. 😉 ---
