I know the surgery itself is easy-peasy. My brother had his out on a Thursday and was back at work on Monday. We are a notoriously strong and stubborn family - possibly too strong for our own good at times, such as the time a doctor looked at the MRI of my spine and was stunned that I was able to walk. :eek: The stinky part is just all of the order a test, get it approved, get it, wait for someone to “read” it and relay the findings to my doctor, order another test, lather, rinse, repeat… ---

Of course, our electricians, We Wire for Fire, Inc., randomly chose what phase to hook up secondary things (like emergency lights) to so some theatres were in the dark, with the projector and sound running, but no emergency lights, while others had everything going, including the emergency light, and other theatres had everything in between. Needless to say, everybody wanted their money back, which was in the bank. I broke out the defunct drive-in rain tickets. Fun times, not ---

I hate writing research papers! I’m not that bad a writer, I have decent content, I’m driving myself nuts going perfectionist! (deep breathing) This is a DRAFT. Well, I have something written. Not sure it isn’t a steaming pile, but it’s written. We’ll see if I feel any better about it after I’ve gotten some sleep. Trivial item, but one that’s going to be a problem: page numbering in Word 2013, if you have oddball prefatory pages, is a [bleep], especially if the instructor insists on things being done in a way that allows an automatic table of contents. (And yes, she’s getting an electronic version, so can check that if she chooses to.) ---

Morning, mumpers! It’s all bright and shiny over my side of the pond, hopefully the weather gods will look kindly on us and keep it that way all day. Yesterday was similarly pleasant and (having had a ginormous piece of carrot cake) I even cycled an extra couple of circuits of the park on my way home. There is a running/cycle track inside the park area that (I believe) is one-quarter mile total, but since the park is circular and has a wide and relatively quiet road around it, I cycled on that and added an extra 0.2 of a mile to the total. I might even do the same again tonight on the way back…and then I’m going to undo all the good work by going to the pub and drinking some lovely beer 😃 **(((((rosie)))))** - hope you feel better soon, cat snuggles are good for aches and pains! **gotti** , if you need emergency surgery, I have a very sharp knife… ---
