One of my absent-minded colleagues once had to have his work Blackberry replaced after he lost it somewhere. He found it weeks later in his freezer. This same guy once lost a rental car while on a business travel. He forgot that heā€™d rented a car on the way in and took a cab back to the airport and flew home. When the rental car company later happened to ask where their car was, he had no recollection. Not sure how that turned out. ---

Was the laptop encased in aluminum foil? If so, you may have been either keeping it fresh for later, or shielding it from prying government eyes. If itā€™s a Macbook Air, you may have been using it to slice some meat and cheese for a sandwich. I think the people suggesting you cooling it are probably right though. ---

Thatā€™s not so bad (assuming the laptop still worked) My personal drunk best - I got home (driven by a friend), sat down at the computer, and must have thought, ā€œYou know what I really miss? All those great books I read as a kid.ā€ Drunk self (I have no memory of this) got on Amazon and eBay, and proceeded to order every book I had fond memories of from like age 8-15 It was damn confusing when I started receiving boxes of books about a week later. A look at my Amazon order history explained it. :smack: ā€¦on the plus side, I actually did have a good time re-reading most of them. And most of them were used, so the bill didnā€™t quite hit three figures. But still, :smack: ---

A guy I know sells DVDs from his web page telling you how to avoid traffic prosecutions and the like. He says Friday night is his busiest day for sales (drunk orders) and Saturday is his biggest day for refunds (sober remorse)! ---

I think there may have been some mysterious force on Monday, compelling people to put inappropriate objects in their fridges. I found a cork trivet in ours on Tuesday morning, that Mr. Neville had clearly put there. At least Iā€™m pretty sure it was him. It wasnā€™t me, and from the fact that there is food in our fridge Iā€™m pretty sure the cats canā€™t get into it. He hadnā€™t been drinking. Iā€™m not sure what kind of mysterious force would make people put inappropriate objects in the fridge, or why. It wasnā€™t the Supermoon, that was three weeks ago. ---
