I agree. Even 1-2 drinks have the potential to increase the efeects of the Xanax XR and make you less likely to turn down additional drinks :dubious: .
I’ve been clinically depressed in the past and currently in therapy now. I’ve also abused both booze and pills/drugs. Be careful with depression and alcohol. Of course you (OP) know your own body best but be careful all the same. You may have one drink a hundred times and nothing happens, then one day it just doesn’t metabolize properly or your chemistry changes. Who knows what can happen? Isn’t it better to be safe?
Xanax, Zoloft and beer, huh? Is that clinically safer than, say, LSD? 'Cuz I haven’t heard of a trip like that since Scabby Alice dropped two hits of Monterey Purple in '67 and tried to carpet-bomb Jimi Hendrix. Welcome back to this side.
Stop being so hard on Argent Towers. He doesn’t have a problem - he’s just a dude who went out for drinks with some friends, drank a bit too much, and felt weird the next day because he didn’t take his meds, and had a bit of a hangover. Big deal. He realizes the potential for a bad outcome and isn’t going to do it again. He doesn’t need to be rushed straight to the psychiatric ward, people.
Thank you. For God’s sake…I appreciate the good intentions but you guys aren’t my psychiatrist. My psychiatrist (whom I met with this morning, by the way) assured me that one or two drinks would be fine. And this corroborates perfectly with my own experiences, as I have said, what, 200 times already. If anything, I posted the OP to share my weird dream and to demonstrate that I had learned a lesson about monkeying with my brain chemistry. I’ll be fine.
