For some reason my log in has stopped working. Not only does it tell me I have the password wrong, it tells me I used up all my chances and have to wait 15 minutes before trying again. Even though that was my first attempt. I even went so far as to reset my password only to run into the same problem. My actual username name is Grrr! (formally known as Shakes) Please advise. Also, I was not able to find an Email contact unregistered. So an email would be nice to. Thanks. eta: I am a paid member. ---

um… guys… I realize it’s great and all that that you went to this effort to try to log in, but you should probably stop using these socks. Just sayin’. ---

I figured all this sockery would displease the mods, even though it was done out of necessity, but I was still sorely tempted to see if I could get through as **Biffy the Elephant Sock**. ---

I couldn’t even log in with a newly-created sock ( **gym sock of krondys** ). I’m glad to see things running again. ---

Sounds logical, but since we don’t know the rest of the story and can’t be sure it won’t happen again, like right now, maybe we’d better wait for things to settle down. Besides, I can’t login to my sock anyway, so I can’t delete it. I hate to bother a mod, but I will have to eventually. ---

I propose that they NOT ban the socks. That would be totally unfair and overkill to the nice people who were just trying to access the dope. They weren’t malicious or evil. I think a 30 day suspension is adequate. 🙂 ---

I was tempted to create **oft wears socks** , but the number of new sock notifications on the main page coupled with the lack of posts led me to believe that creating a sock wouldn’t actually let me in. ---

I almost did this myself, but I reasoned that some others would do it themselves, so I refrained. My fallback would have been emailing the webmaster. But if nothing else worked, a quiet bit of sockery seems not outrageous. ---

I didn’t create a sock, but I had the same problem with not being able to log in, requesting a password reset, and still not getting in. I got better. ---

Reminds me of [“Assistant Editors Month” at Marvel comics](http://www.crackcomics.com/aem/) back in 1984. Allegedly, all the editors were at a comic con, so the B-team was trying to get the 'books out, with hilariously absurd plots.
