I hold a certain amount of disdain for him because once he started making movies, he could no longer be bothered to participate in the service organization he joined. ---

Yeah, a lot of those “Chuck Norris facts” are funny. And when he did those commercials for Mike Huckabee (who himself seems like a genuinely nice guy, despite my totally disagreeing with all his major opinions), it was funny in a down-to-Earth, willing to laugh at yourself way. But there’s a difference between being a conservative, or even a “right winger”, and being a [nasty theo-fascist bigot](http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=56107). (Of course, I’m sure Chuck would say he was “only kidding” and “gosh, don’t you atheists have a sense of humor?” Yeah, freakin’ hi-larious.) ---
