I don’t dot any of my I’s or J’s, upper or lower case. I also write the bits of the letter K too far apart sometimes so it looks like “l s” and I don’t put a tail on my lower-case g’s, so it looks exactly the same as a q. My lower case r’s have also been mistaken for v’s. Should I assume I’ll be first against the wall? ---

Uh oh. I write in all caps except for a dotted capital I and J. I always have. I mean, even my official signature is like that. It’s because when I write them with serifs, they look ugly. Something to do with being left-handed? I don’t know. Plus, I always loved the way Arabic and Sanskrit look, with their dots and flourishes. But unless you had to wade through some handwritten junior-high-school essay of mine, I don’t see how I could have pissed you off. 🆒 I cross my 7s and Zs too. If I could remember the formatting for strikeouts, I would have done that here, just to be annoying. ---

One of the things I remember my high school art teacher impressing upon me, lo those many years ago, is that it is Wrong to write capital I and J with serifs in an otherwise sans-serif font. ---
