I dont know why I read this thread. its like picking a scab I guess. Jesse, you seem to think alllll your troubles will be over if you just have a girlfriend/FWB. What will happen if something goes not according to plan with said girlfriend/FWB in your life? Are you going to revert to your default Woe Is Me mode? I think that will be reason enough for her to exit your life. So my advice FWIW is to use this opportunity to get an Attitude Transplant and find a way to make the best of your life, with or without what you think you want. ---

I can deal with everything else. I can’t deal with the fact that I’m almost 27 and I’ve never had a girlfriend. At this age, everyone else I know has multiple exes. In a day and age where half of all marriages end in divorce, I don’t care if I get married. I just want to get my first girlfriend already so that I can stop feeling inferior to everyone else. ---

Wow, I’m sure your potential girlfriends will be glad to hear that at best they’re just there to be a milestone, middling they’re there to pad your ego and get you over your insecurities, and at worst they’re a trophy. ---
