I have been living for 59 years under the same rock. I don’t know how long this has been going on, but I grew up in an all-white, blue-collar, casually and openly racist neighborhood in Baltimore, and nobody was using any code words. ---

Yep, “I hate Mondays” is code for “I hate Blacks”. Refering to Wednesday as “hump day” means “I want to have sex with everyone dear to you while you watch”. “TGIF” really means “Those Gays Is Fags”, a slur against homosexuals in general. Refering to Thursday as “Friday Eve” is a slur aginst lebians specifically, given the meaning of “TGIF” and the fact that Eve is a female name. Saturday and Sunday are lumped together in “I love the weekend”, which clearly means “I like your ass”. Since the sphincter is clearly less powerful than the jaws, it is the “weak end”. Yep, Tuesday is the only day of the week without an agenda. ---

According to the [urban dictionary](http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=i%20hate%20mondays), it’s used by lower to middle class white people to mask their racism. Usually used in the upper north of the United States. I’m a middle class white wordsmith in the upper north of the US, and I’ve never heard that expression used that way. ---

I didn’t read the whole thread, just the OP. One time years ago on 60 Minutes, there was a panel of upper middle class black men and women, professional, well-educated, and they were talking about this secret code stuff. Several of these people actually believed that on the Snapple label, the little “k” in the circle meant that Snapple is produced by the Ku Klux Klan. (It actually means that Snapple is kosher, although that designation probably would not be enough for a strictly observant Jew without some sort of identified Rabbinic authority.) ---
