# I hate shaving...

I too like styptic pencils. I have one in my dresser drawer (to keep it dry). I always use it if I nick myself and the bleeding wont stop easy. It does sting, but I usually grit my teeth, and if you hold it there, after a while the nerves get used to it. That’s what I used to help stop the bleeding when I nicked my lip.

I thought that aftershave was to deal with the tiny cuts you get with a shave and/or a haircut. It _is_ a matter of getting used to it, though. I seem to recall getting the skin bracer treatment after a haircut as a small child and having it hurt a lot. Now, I cut my hair very short (as low as clippers without a guard will cut) and use astringent on my entire head. It’s very refreshing.
