It _is_ my 500th post! I didn’t bring any refreshments. I thought it was a little tacky, kind of like throwing yourself a bridal shower or something. But I am registered at the Straight Dope gift shop–I don’t have one of those snazzy mugs yet! (What can I say, I’m cheap!) Of course, I would like to receive a moderator position as a gift but I guess I’ll just have to wait until my next party for that one! Has anyone else ever made it to this many posts without actually having contributed _anything_ of use to the boards? * * * “You don’t have insurance? evilbeth, congrats! I don’t know how useful any of my posts have been to anyone, but I have fun doing it. And, since you didn’t bring stuff to your party, I brought along plenty of sodas and my special nacho dip that I have to make for every large gathering anymore.
