What an awful flavor for ice cream! It’s so, so… PLAIN! And I hate how you have to add stuff to vanilla ice cream to make it taste better. Dammit, ice cream is suppose to taste good by itself! ---

But I have on good evidence that it’s “the fineist of the flavors.” How do you explain that? Besides, without vanilla, we’d have to refer to non-kinky sex as either “mint chocolate chip” or “pistachio,” those being the only flavors that don’t already have a euphmism attached to them. And that would just be silly. That being said, I REALLY want some pistachio ice cream now. – “I seem to have taken a minor wound to the heart area!” ---

Besides, without vanilla, we’d never have Chocolate Chip, since that’s just vanilla with chocolate chips put in it 😃 ---

Hmph. Maybe where _you_ come from they call that white crap vanella, but it’s a pale imitation of the real thing, my friend. Vanella ice cream is _at least_ a dark beige, or it’s not real vanella. I don’t know what it is. I, frankly, don’t want to know. Choclate chip indeed. The gods of milkfat weep at such a travisty. – “Why am I suddenly hungry for CARNATION ICE CREAM!!” ---

I _love_ vanilla ice cream with a wee bit of salt. Yummmmmm. “Strawberry” flavored ice cream makes me wanna hurl. ---

Actually, I have never liked vanilla ice cream. When little, I liked chocolate chip, but would sometimes put syrup on it. Now I like butter pecan, but also any flavor iwth the chocolate shell. ---

Vanilla ice cream isn’t bad by itself. Not the greatest thing ever devised by humanity, perhaps, but it’s [not too toxic to cats](http://www.sluggy.com/d/000809.html). And adding things to make it taste better…well, if you insist, you can no doubt get Ben and Jerry, by fellating them often enough, to sell you chocolate chip-pistachio-sesame-pinko tropical nut blend for a mere $24.99 a pint, if you’re too NFBSKing lazy to mix in the gruit yourself. Now, vanilla wonton soup (which, of course, is not flavored with vanilla, but is merely not hot-and-sour soup)…but that’s another thread. ---
