**MetalMouse** I was hopin’ it would be that version of _The Weight._ I do believe that is my favorite take on the song and I have loved every version of _The Weight_ I have heard. This one, however, sends chills up and down my spine everytime I hear it.! **Cat\_Glove** Priest is the correct term. A Priest who retired from my Parish has been fillin’ in a lot for us. Some Sundays we do the service of [Morning Prayer](https://bcponline.org/DailyOffice/mp2.html) with music and a sermon from a site called Sermons That Work. I have been leadin’ those services. Matter of fact, I shall be doin’ this Sunday. ETA: **MOOOOOOM** _ **quelle horreur** _!!! However will you survive! ---

Evening all. Had fun with the soccer players, recruited a (slightly) older brother and sister of two of the players and played 5 v 3…the kids won, which made them happy, but then I forgot to return one of the boy’s watches he had given to me for safe-keeping, and had to run it over to their house. Dinner has been assimilated and have just a little more internettin’ to do. Damn **Cat\_Glove** that’s a bummer. OTOH, a steering rack that’s getting ready to fail is stoopit dangerous. You may’ve saved a lot of money & blood getting that fixed today. I’ve used mine quite a few times. I’ve got a similar one. Being able to fill your tire right now wherever you are is super-valuable. You can keep a slow-leaking tire going for a few days until you can find time to get to a repair place. Without running it long enough at such a low pressure that you take much future life out of the tire. If you come out some time and it’s dead flat you can still get underway in just a few minutes and no matter how bad the leak you can get a few miles before stopping to fill it again. Being able to limp around town is far better than being trapped wherever you happen to be when Fate sticks a big screw in your tire and a big “screw you!” in your face. Today being Tuesday we walked for our usual craft tacos and I had a habanero tequila margarita. Tangy! Her Ladyship had a mango margarita. Sweet! Once back home she fired up a murder mystery DVD which I sorta watched while reading & posting. It got more convoluted than I could keep straight, but in the end all the dead people stayed dead. So not much of a surprise ending if you ask me. 🤪 Like **Metalmouse** , my bedtime is next. Congrats on everyone surviving tacoday and good luck to us all on humpday. Cheers! ---

I think the lip/cheek/tongue biting problems gets us all because once bitten, it is then swollen and in the way of being bitten again. I resort to swishing salt water through my mouth regularly to help heal it quickly. Does it work? Heck, I don’t know but at least I feel I’m doing something about it. So finally joining you on Tuesday night because I started my new job Monday. Hardly mundane, but I’ve started so many new jobs (contracting gigs all run you through the new job stuff so that’s an average of every year or so) that it feels mundane. This place is gonna be interesting. They run on a shoestring. The facility lacks much, including warmth. The place is reputed to have bedbugs (no lie). But the people are encouraging and most are characters. I feel right at home. Except I don’t have bedbugs at home. Yet. And bonus, nobody has yelled at me or said a harsh word yet. It almost makes me want to call up the old boss, laugh like crazy, and hang up. Almost. But I am truly happy to have closed that short chapter of my life. **shoe** , I’ve done mac for breakfast. It works quite well. I add broccoli because that’s how I am. Do you add anything? Lately, I’ve been on a cheap breakfast burrito kick because not only is it cheap but it sticks to my ribs, and I can polish it off as I head to the elevator and car for work. That’s not so quick and easy to do with oatmeal. **metalmouse** , what is N. Ali-bama cold like? I’ve never even been through there in winter so I’ve no idea. North Georgia, yes. Jackson, MS yes. But truly, what is winter cold like? Wet, dry?
