# I hate when software installs under the publisher's name, and not the title.

I buy a new game, let’s call it NukeKill. I install it, and then I want to play it.
I open up my start menu, and go to “programs”. After some fruitless searching I realize that there is no entry for NukeKill.
A little searching, and I see that it’s installed under the goddamn publisher’s name.
DICKHEADS!
When I decide to play NukeKill, I think to myself, “I feel a like a game of NukeKill.” I don’t think, “I feel like a game of MonkeyDick Publishing’s fine title, NukeKill!”
Yes, I know that in many of not most cases you can specify where to install, but usually I blindly click NEXT during the install, to quickly get to playing.

I agree, and what’s worse is Sierra Software _insists_ that their crapware be inside a Sierra directory or it won’t install or run.

Well, besides the obvious solution you mentioned yourself: sometimes they do it because of other games by the same manufacturer, like sequals. All my Tomb Raider games are in the same sub-menu for this reason. It does make sense, although it might not be YOUR sense. In which case: customize the installation.
