My old (age one year) cat, [Pam](http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v731/trublmakr/?action=view¤t=IMG_0062.jpg), isn’t quite sure what to make of her, but will be keeping an [eye](http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v731/trublmakr/?action=view¤t=IMG_0060.jpg) on things. I actually got the new kitten for Pam, because she’s a Chantilly/Tiffany, I think, and they do better with companions. I’m sure that when and if they get past this awkward meeting stage, that they’ll be the best of friends. We haven’t named her yet- any suggestions for names or other helpful advice? ---

Omigosh kitties! 😃 She’s so adorable – and she looks like a clever one, too. She needs a smart name. Natasha, maybe? Though I have to say that I would probably wind up naming her something silly like Nosey or Nutmeg. I don’t know why, but those were the first things that popped into my head when I saw that adorable little dusty brown spot above her nose. The latter has the advantage of being able to be shortened to either “Meg” or “Nut,” depending on how you feel about your cat at the time. 😛 Also, I’m pretty sure the fact that all of my suggestions begin with the letter ‘N’ is just a coincidence. ---

Well, my youngest son has decided to name her Lucinda. I’ll go with it, since Pam has attached 100 percent to me and not to him at all, so he thinks the new kitty is “his”. I have no experience introducing a new kitty to an established cat. Does anyone know roughly about how long it takes for them to stop hissing at and avoiding each other? ---

She’s beautiful! I was going to suggest the name “Claire” but I see she’s been named. Most of the time it takes my cats a week or two to get used to a new kitten, but it has taken as long as months. Hanna will still only tolerate Manny (but I’ve caught her allowing him to groom her face), but she loves and snuggles with Isabel. ---

I have a 3 month old kitten that I got a month ago, and it took my other kitty (male neutered cat if that makes a difference) about a week to stop hissing and/or running from the new arrival. Now he grooms the little guy, in spite of protests. However they still play pretty rough…nobody’s getting hurt but the noises can be kinda scary. Beautiful kitten! congrats! ---

We got a second kitten (also to keep the first company) about six months ago, when our first was about a year old. They’re both males, and the oldest had been neutered. There was never hissing and avoiding, so I’m not sure about that. The first night, there was a whole lot of chasing and batting and tussling. By the end of the night, they fell asleep together on a chair, albeit with the older’s tail draped over the kitten’s head, just to make clear who’s boss. They’ve been insepararable ever since. ---

They’re a little better this morning. The older, established cat is just mostly curious about the kitty- she’ll come up and smell the kitten and try to make friends. It’s the new kitten that’s doing all the hissing and being bitchy. But she’s allowing Pam to get closer now before the hissing commences, so progress is being made. It took a little over a month to even get our seven year old [Monster](http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp154/Retrovertigo1/digicamera006.jpg) to even come near without hissing. Hang in there. ---
