# I have an ever stupider Star Wars question!

Alien. His race is a “Zabrak,” although they don’t normally look like that. Maul’s entire body is tatooed as part of his “Sith pain training.”

If you look closely at the Jedi Council scene, you’ll see that one of them also has a mass of horns on his head. That’s Eeth Koth, and he and Maul are coincidentally of the same race.
