31" here. My options are to wear floods, tear up the backs with my heels as I walk or sweet-talk my wife into hemming them. I think I found some 31" inseams in a store once in my life.

I’ve been banned from several stores due to an inseam problem. Seems they do not like customers who request to have their inseams measured for prurient purposes.

They should post a warning sign if they don’t like it.

My husband is 6’3" (190 cm) and wears a 32 inseam. He has freakishly long arms too. I blame it on the jungle gyms he played on as a child.

I am 5’8". ☹ It’s all legs and shoulders.
Nice for athletics but makes finding clothes really suck.

34" inseams are hard enough to find. And often, they make 'em in some waist sizes but not others. Unfortunately, having long legs does not prevent your waist from expanding beyond a certain girth. ☹

For some reason, cargo pants with 34" inseams seem to be particularly hard to find.

I do have a suggestion - Land’s End has most of their pants available in just about any inseam you want. I believe I’ve even seen half inch increments on some of them, but that could have been a fever dream.

But I went to a store recently and they no longer want me in their stores. Oh, I’m welcomed to shop online but it was explained to me that I am a FREAK of NATURE. I guess I scare the normals or at least the women and children. You see, I’m a 36" inseam and that is just too fucking long to be seen in public. Nooooo! “Get out!” they screamed as they threw crew neck tees at me (only $8.99) “Go shop on line you hideous monster.” “I am not an animal” I responded as tried to flee. “I am a human being!”
>
> “Get out! Feel free to shop online. We carry jeans for monsters online. You will have to pay a tax for being to ugly to be in our store. We call it shipping but that’s what it really is.”

Meh, I’ve been too horrifying to shop in-store at Old Navy for years. Apparently, they’re the retail equivalent of those frat boys who will sleep with the fat chick, but don’t want to be around her in public lest someone should see them together.

My husband has this issue frequently. He has a 32" waist and a 29" inseam. He can usually find 30" inseam, but 29" is elusive. In blue jeans he has frequently purchased either 34" or 36" and rolled them up.

Why is it that he can find 29" inseam with LARGER waist pants, but not his size?

This was bound to happen. No, really, hear me out.

Old Navy also used to carry a plus sized line in the stores, but they quickly got rid of that and made it online only. There are many negative impacts to this in addition to the shipping you mentioned: a good number of the coupons they send are IN STORE ONLY, ON sizing is crazy so good luck trying to buy something online without trying it on, and the return process is a pain in the ass.

First they came for the fatties and I did nothing. . . then they came for the leggy men and I did nothing. . . ;)😃

Oh, and at least you can return your giant length pants back to the store— fatass clothes can’t even be returned in store.

Those are my exact measurements as well. I have yet to find pants in my size, after years of looking. I’m resigned to the inevitable pile of material bunching around my shoes.

Total foofah and folderol. Piffle, I say. All 29" inseam pants come with teensy waist sizes. We 42s don’t have a prayer unless we want to order from those Lands End nazis, roll up our cuffs (shudder), or wear our pants up around our armpits like some demented geezer. I guard the two pair of 29s I have like they’re gold plated. All attempts by my spouse to suggest getting rid of them because of wear, tear and stains meets with resistance with extreme prejudice. I also have two pair of chino-type pants with 29 inseams that I only wear on special occasions. Those babies have got to _last_, damn it! God help me if I lose any more weight. :😭:

I find this hard to believe! My experience is that there are plenty of pants with inseams of 32", 34", even 36", until the waist size gets over 36". Then the inseam shrinks to 30" and below! Apparently anyone with a waist bigger than 36" is supposed to have little short legs.

I’m 6’2", 240 lbs, with a 36" waist and 33" inseam. And size 14 shoes.

BTW, on the subject of size 14 shoes; SAS makes some very nice shoes in sizes 14 and above, but they’re spendy. Walmart, OTOH, often has size 14 shoes. They’re cheap and they don’t last long, but they’re only $20.00 - $30.00.

I was in Sweden and wanted to buy jeans - at the time I had a 33" waist and 34" inseam.
The clerk spoke broken English, but still it stung when he measured me and said, “Oh, we don’t sell your size here. The fat man’s store is down the street…”
A 33" waist was a fat man?
Gee - thanks.

I just ordered some jeans online from Old Navy (some styles are on for 25 here in canada, two makes 50 which is free shipping).

It was a breeze. Way easier than going to the store. I would only have had to go to the store if they didn’t fit. They also arrived in two days.

(I am short and their short is just the right length for me. Buying online meant I had a better pick of styles and colours.)

ETA: I am seriously not paid to say this. Wow did that sound like a spambot!

Just another reason (though possibly the first valid reason) that I will never buy pants in Sweden.

??? That’s bizarre. 😕

My husband is 6’3", 165, wears a 34" X 34". He has a BMI of 20.5.

I can’t imagine what universe exists where he would be considered fat. Now, I think the reason for the 34 waist is because he has a big, muscular hockey player butt (skating will do that to a guy), but he’s really not fat.

I think there must have been a really weird translation problem or something. 😕😕

Yeah I’m guessing the clerk just didn’t know the proper term for big and/or tall man’s store. It’s a good story though 😃

In Swedish, the word is perhaps ‘Troll’\*. Maybe ‘Troll Store’? (Troll Butik?)

\*please note, not intended to be an accusation of trolling, rather the suggestion that the man in the store thought anyone who wasn’t anorexic was some sort of mythical woodland man-and-goat-eating monster.

I thought 36" inseams came with mandatory cowboy boots and hat, maybe Old Navy just ran out of free hats.
