This is the dumbest rule I’ve seen debated in a long time. Seriously, I can insult a poster on this board, in the BBQ pit, with impunity. This whole thing about a visible count of warnings is news to me, and I don’t see any such marks on anybody’s posts. Am I correct in assuming you can only see your own warning hash marks? Apparently, I am an unmarked pussy. I did call someone in MPSIMS an asshole once – I can only assume the Mods accepted it as a statement of fact rather than an insult. ---

It’s also possible you got warnings before we started using the infraction system, or that you got a mod note. ---

You know, the SDMB could make warnings a profit centre if the mods were restricted to rescinding warnings, and the authority to give warnings was held by the highest bidders. ---
