After his presidency he sided with the confederacy and was pro-secession. He died in 1862. And thanks, **MMM** , but “he remains the only U.S. president ever laid to rest under a flag not of the United States” means something different from “[he was] the only president whose coffin was not draped in the U.S. flag.” I have a Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems mug, and you do not. I have not seen _Buckaroo Banzai_ more than ten times, and you have. ---
