At the school I attended, there were always people screaming because the rules said students couldn’t have sex in the dorm rooms even when opposite gender visitation was allowed. One of the reporters for the school paper got to looking at the rules and realized that the way they were written homosexual acts were allowed, but heterosexual acts **weren’t**! As this was Tennessee, he took great delight in pointing this out in his column. Naturally, they fired him for it. (He made the staff and the university look bad :(! ) ---

When I was in school, we had a sequence of false fire alarms. Someone finally caught the guy. The way our residence was set up, there was a tall building and a short building, connected by a bridge between the second floors. The fuckwad would trip the alarm in the tall building and run back to the short building, which didn’t get the alarm. Funny thing is, my best mate was accused of being this person, on grounds I won’t go into, mostly because I don’t fully remember them. Luckily, he was cleared on my testimony, although it was skidgy: he’d hadn’t left my room for hours, and was with me when the alarm went off…but we were also high that evening, and narrowly missed getting busted for that. Anyway, iamphuna, if/when they do catch this person, vigilante justice will hopefully do more to hir than the administration can. ---

Actually, the Amoco of Death is making a comeback. There have been a ton of carjackings in that vicinity recently. Creepy. Especially considering it’s all of three blocks away from my dorm. And yes, the university’s (not just grad school’s) unofficial motto is “Where Fun Comes to Die.” I say they’re just not looking hard enough, the lazy bastards.
