# I Have pneumonia (again) and in my last visit...

…my Pulmonologist had me spit a recently coughed up lunger into a sputum cup. It was yello. I asked the Doctor what causes the yellow color. He replied it was the dead white blood cells in the spit.

If this is true, then is the yellow color a sign of pus?
