Usually when someone complains about their eyes hurting I can shut them up by mentioning that I get Herpes in my one eye\* (that’s right I get fever blisters in my eye) However after looking at the picture, you win. \*when asked I tell people it comes from looking for love in all the wrong places ---

When my brother was in optometry school, I got to look at his ocular disease books; huge glossy photographs of nasty, nasty eyeballs. One of the most disturbing was advanced syphilis; just thinking about it made me squirm, and the picture – ugh! ---

I had that a little while ago! It gave me nightmares that it would “pop” in my sleep and when I, in my dream , would look in the mirror there would be a huge divot on my eye. In the really icky nightmares my eyeball would slowly leak. ---

I was afraid of that, too. The doctor assurred me that Vitreous Humour is too thick to do that, though.
