We were herding cattle in a remote back pasture of the ranch and I saw something shiny and way out of place in the dull sage that blanketed the place. I got down and started to walk over to it and realized it was a foil balloon, a bit beat up and worn as it had lost some of its lift and tripped across the prairie to this lonely place, a thin blue ribbon holding it to a future tumbleweed. Then right when I got close [a breath of wind caught it](We were herding cattle in a remote back pasture of the ranch and I saw something shiny and way out of place in the dull sage that blanketed the place. I wondered what it had seen on it’s way and who might be the next person out in that vast open country to see it and wonder about it’s journey. I’d like to think it’s still on its curious sine wave voyage of drift and lonely sojourns.
Wow, I had totally forgotten this thread.
I have an inflatable Meatwad balloon/beach ball which was personally inflated by Dave Willis, the voice of Meatwad. During an “Aqua Teen Hungerforce Live” show in Seattle in 2010, he tossed it into the audience, I caught it, and I have not deflated it since.
If the OP’s balloon is no longer with us, then I submit that my Meatwad is now in the running to take its place.
Well, don’t leave us in suspense - is the Balloon still alive?
Last month we inflated (with helium) & used a balloon that is from 1990.
N/M, too stupid a post even for me.
