I was discussing this “problem” (if that’s what it is) with **thinksnow** , **Shibboleth** , and **DynoSaur** over breakfast Sunday after Halloween OhDope. I went as Sister Mary Sleazy. There is a reason for that.
I have come to the conclusion that I have the sex drive of a 16 year old guy. This is odd, since I am neither 16 years old, nor a guy. I am, in fact, a 36 year old woman. I never used to be like this. But the past 3 years or so, when my mind is not otherwise occupied, I’m thinking of sex. And often when I _am_ otherwise occupied. Getting some, though great when it happens, doesn’t do much to relieve things. The last weekend of fun I had, I got it 6 times in less than 48 hours. Was I happy? Yes. Was I ready for more almost immediately? Yes. I won’t even get into the Hair Trigger Clit[sup]TM[/sup].
I know part of it can be attributed to losing a lot of weight three years ago, and my self esteem finally skyrocketing (relatively speaking). But I think a big part of it is my age. Any other women in their early to mid thirties experiencing this same thing and finding it a little disconcerting? I find myself almost feeling predatory at times. Pity I still have such problems finding someone local I’d like to spend some time with. Though I might end up killing him, I dunno. 😃
And guys, if the “thinking of sex when not otherwise occupied” is your perpetual state (which my OhDope buds indicated), how the hell do you ever accomplish anything at work? 😉

Don’t women hit their sexual peak at about your age? That’s what I heard anyway - men hit at about 18 and women hit about 34-35. One of nature’s little jokes, I guess.

I’m 38. This started around age 33 or 34 for me also. I have to warn you-so far it seems to only get more…umm…_intense_. I’m wondering when this ‘peak’ thing starts to level off. Do we get some kind of warning? a sign? Is there some way to slow time so I can enjoy this even longer? 😉

Something got my motor running around the time I turned 30 and almost 10 years later the old sex drive is stronger than ever!
I can say with all certaintly that I could do it 20 times a day and still not get enough.

You may have several more good years ahead of you yet. My SO is a 45 year old woman who likes nothing better than to spend hours having sex, leaving the bed only to eat the occassional meal, answer nature’s call, and stretch a bit. Our current record is somewhere around 10 hours.

Speaking as a 26 year old, I can say that I don’t have the warp-speed sex drive yet, but I anxiously await it. My drive has increased since I lost a lot of weight, though. I think it is a self-esteem thing, too. I’ve heard other thirtysomething friends of mine say the same thing you are saying.
