Yes, but that kind of post-padding makes the entire thread look bad. I realize part of the point of this thread is to be pointless, but it’s sort of an _organized_ pointlessness. Five posts of one sentence, just so you can lead the next page, is far too much. And I think you mean you “wouldn’t have **won** ”, Brainiac. ---

No, you misunderstand. If it’s a declared race, as it was in this instance, you state your intention in the 5th post from the end. Then you type your next post, keep hitting preview until the other posters have pushed it to the edge, and then you hit submit! And I say a lot of things I don’t mean, Dorkus! : ) At least it was _spelled_ correctly! ---

It figures that harmless would post #666. Anyway, it occurred to me that this thread has taken on such a life of it’s own, that it probably qualifies as a Forum all on its own. And as such, we should post some Forum Rules. We should probably form a Forum Development Task Force to select a Forum Steering Committe to draft some basic rules, but in the meantime, here are my proposed rules for this Forum: 1. no posting of anything that qualifies under another Forum on the SDMB. 2. Each post must have at least 1 complete sentence in it. 3. No poster may post more than twice in succession, unless it is with the purpose of correcting a previous post. 4. No one may post a reply to any post by Rufus Xavier. 5. No post may have any measurable reason for existence. I guess that does it… ---

Hey, guys, these rules are just proposals. so back offI couldn’t enforce them if I tried. and you wouldnt like it if i didAnd neither could anyone else (except a mod). and why would they want toI appreciate the feedback though. except for yours(you know who you are) ‘42’ is the answer to life the universe and everything.
