# \[i\]Italic\[/i\]\[u\]Underline\[/u\]\[b\] and bold\[/b\] in titles?

The [meetup.com](http://meetup.com) message boards allow it. I find it fairly annoying, though.

This site (and the other two vB boards I frequent) uses bold to differentiate between read and unread threads. No reason why italics shouldn’t be allowed, though.
