Well, another milestone in my life has been experienced. My eldest daughter just gave birth this afternoon to a 9 lb 12 oz baby boy named Landon. My first grandchild and the first male progeny for which I’m looking forward to teach guy things. I didn’t realize it it before hand, but when I got to hold him I really felt that bond swell over me, and it felt soooo good. ---

I second the congratulations. For me, becoming a grandfather was a significant milestone in my life, and I pictured myself differently than I did before. After all, I was now “Grandpa,” and everything that entailed. Again, mazel tov! ---

Congratulations! Now where are the pics? It’s a rule you know. I’ll never be a grandma, as I had no children. But I was there when my dad and I heard a little baby crying through the door where my sister had been in labor. He turned to me, with his eyes shining like 200 watt bulbs and said “did you hear that? _DID YOU HEAR THAT???_” ---
