I can’t remember the last time I watched the Winter Olympics, probably sometime back in the 1970’s. However, I love watching the Summer Olympics, especially the diving competitions and the women’s gymnastics. I was watching t.v. a couple of days ago and they were talking about a new sport being introduced to the Olympics this year…trampoline jumping. It looked cool! ---

I too am beginning to think that there is a general overkill as far as the olympics are concerned…especially when they don’t start for another few days yet! The olympic torch Marathon around australia was a bit of an anticlimax! I think the best bit was when people tried to steal it! What a laugh!! but seriously…unless it’s gymnastics or diving on the box…I think mine will stay turned OFF!! ---

Even better than stealing the torchwas the incident where some kid tried to extinguish it! He damn near succeeded too! In a way, I’m sad that he didn’t quite manage to do it. ---

I haven’t cared about the Olympics since the US started brushing aside the amateur atheletes in favor of a bunch of overpaid whiners. \*\* Yeah, like those damn, millionaire pole-vaulters and marathon runners.
