I Just Got A Nintendo DS - Where Are The Good Games?

Slacker is trying to collect Nintendo DS friends codes in this thread…

Clubhouse Games is just plain fun. I played a friend match last night - and the pictochat makes it even better. I took a little bit of video for those who are curious to see how it looks:

If I may suggest, don’t overlook the Gameboy Advance games, either. (Thank God they’re compatible with DS!) There are some fabulous games that you can buy which are fun even though they only use one screen. For these, I suggest the **Dr. Mario/Puzzle League ** game and the **Klax/Marble Madness ** if you’re into that stuff.

PS, add my vote for New Super Mario Bros., **Big Brain Academy ** and Sonic Rush.

…[sub]sniff, sniff[/sub] Thread still seems fresh enough…

So I picked up Metroid Prime: Hunters for the DS last Thursday and promptly returned it the next day. The game was awful. The stylus/cross pad control sucked ass. I exchanged it out for Rocket Slime and Trauma Center which both ROCK!!!

I’m almost done with Rocket Slime, just need to rescue five more of my slime buddies. I’m taking my time with Trauma Center. I want to savor the traumaie goodness.

I’m thinking of either picking up Star Fox or Clubhouse Games next. Haven’t been able to find Advance Wars: Dual Strike but will grab it as soon as I find it.

The DS seems to be best investment I’ve made lately. I’m glad I picked it over the PSP.

If you didn’t like the stylus-based controls on Metroid, do a try-before-you-buy for StarFox first. I personally think the StarFox controls are great, but YMMV.

(Got all nine endings last weekend; now I’m torn between buying a new game or biding my time until Elite Beat Agents gets released)

You could always import Ouendan and start working those groove reflexes.

Just wanted to revive this thread and give a huge thumbs up for Elite Beat Agents. If you like music games, rhythm games, quirky games, and/or pick-up-and-play games, grab this baby toot sweet.

(Just make sure you have a hanky ready for the “A Christmas Gift” level… whoa, who put the tear-jerker in my quirky pick-up-and-play music rhythm game? :))

My boyfriend also says Contact is tons of fun, only I haven’t been able to pry him away long enough to try it.

I’ve been wondering about Contact. I’ve heard good things about it, looks like it may be my next purchase. I also saw Touch Detective at a Gamestop today. Looks interesting.
