…wart removed. Just kidding. I had a real facial, defined by my Webster’s lexicon as: A treatment for the face, usually consisting of a massage and application of cosmetic creams. It was very nice. I’ve been kinda stressed out lately (Y2K, wanna new job, haven’t been exercising, eating like el puerco) and it definitely helped. Oooo, Cant, I LOVE my monthly facials. I live for them. My friend Alex I go to this spa [www.blissworld.com](http://www.blissworld.com) It costs a fortune but it’s so worth it. If you’re ever in the city, GO THERE. My favorite part about the facials at this place is that you a change into a robe (from the dryer) and slippers and then enter THE ROBE ZONE. They have wine and cheese and brownies and fruit. We gorge. Then you go into a private room and the facialist (is that a word?) spends 75 minutes applying various creams and squeezing your zits and blackheads. You also get a head, neck, chest and back massage. I know your excellent feeling. I don’t want to alarm you, but be prepared for the post-facial breakout. Ya see **Saxy** , I knew we were kindred spirits. I bet blissworld probably charges, what, $200.00 for a 75-minute facial? More? Sorry. Nosy. I just paid $45.00 for 45 minutes. Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was good. My favorite is when they just let you lie there and not talk. I love it when they tell you what they’re doing, step by step. I had one aesthetist who seemed to hypnotize me with her soothing voice… I’d be transported into a warm, dark place where my body had no dimensions… **Michelle** , you are a freak. Who wouldn’t want to be pampered to states of deep relaxation? Freaks, that’s who. 😉 ---

They squeeze your zits?!? Uck. No WAY would I let anyone do that to me. I was right with ya up through the brownies/cheese & wine thing, but I’m afraid I can go no further. ---

**Athena** , they usually ask you if you’d like them to perform the “extractions”. You can say no, if you like. I always say “Go for it!” I like a little pain with my pleasure. They will usually wear latex gloves when they squeeze 'em and put them on a little paper towel… It’s all just so sanitary and nice. I love it! I’m making an appointment for a month from now to have a paraffin facial. ---

Athena, they ask you if you want them to squeeze your zits. It’s an option (one that I always take, of course). I think they call it “extraction”. HA HA HA Cant, it’s about $95 for 75 min. They try to talk you into face peels and weird crystal cleaning, etc. but I always refuse. But I don’t/can’t refuse the little basket of expensive products they recommend at the end of the facial.
