I’d like to see more studies into this as well. I feel like I’m always getting pulled into some black vs. white or black vs. non-black schism when I suspect that while there certainly is prejudice and bigotry around, I’m getting jerked around what may be the more significant issue: our poor.

Which is why in almost 30 years he’s never once reached out to him or even hired a P.I. to do a follow up that would have revealed the guy’s eye was lost before the accident (an odd thing to not have brought out at the time- [“Blinded me? Oh, you mean THIS… nah, I’ve had that for years.”])
