Fuck. There is nothing worse than doing that, and I speak from personal experience. Lighting the wrong end of the cigarette is worse than being analy raped by a donkey (and I do not speak from personal experience there). ---

I’ve done it. Especially when waking up in the middle of the night, in the dark, half asleep and fumbling for a smoke and then lighting it, drawing on it and wondering why it not only tastes strange, but whereinthehell did that tiny little flame come from in front of my nose. The the sputtering, mashing it out in the ashtray and grabbing another butt from the pack, grumbling at the waste. If desperate enough, I’ll break off the ruined filter and just smoke the darn thing without one. Then I wonder how people I know used to stand smoking the unfiltered things years ago. They used to tap them on the box or a fingernail, poke the end in their mouths and light up. Funny, the paper never stuck to their lips like it does mine. ---

Easy trick to save a cig that was lit on the wrong end. Carefully break off the part with tobacco at the point where it meets the stronger paper connected to the filter. Then dig a butt of the ashtray (disgusting, but cigs are four bucks a pack in my neck of the woods) and shake out any remaining tobacco and carefully tear off the remaining “weak” paper (the part not directly connected to the filter). When you do this you’ll have a filter with a about an eigth of an inch of paper sticking off the end. Take what you have left of the cigarette that you lit on the wrong end and **carefully** screw the untorn end (the part you would’ve lit if you weren’t sleepy/drunk) into your salvaged filter. You now have a working cigarette, just be careful about flicking off the ash. ---

Ha and again Ha , I laugh at your wrong end lighting, try being preoccupied and accidently picking up your lit cigarette backward without snapping to the fact it is backward and putting it to your lip. You will never think lighting the filter is the worst again. ---

It really pisses me off when it’s my last cigarette and I light the wrong end. I’ve only been smoking for, like, a billion years now, you would think I’d get it right. Ugh, and have you ever done it in the dark and inhaled before your realized what you were doing? Christ! ---

When I smoked cigarettes, I used to smoke plain-cut Gitanes. It had two advantages: **1** ) I never lit a filter, as they were filterless. **2** ) Most times when people asked me for a cigarette, they’d pass when they realised I was smoking these. ---

God I love being an ex-smoker. Had to be out in the world alot this morning, and I was amazed at the number of people smoking outside various places, and how completely disgusting I found the stench of it. Who’da thunk it two years ago? \ ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ---
