# I just put in my two weeks notice!

i am so relieved! i was supposed to work until the first, but since i _really_ despise my job lately i decided that one more week wasn’t worth the pay. this means that i only have to work nine more days after tonight, since i work four 10 hour shifts a week, and tomorrow i’m calling in sick (what are they gonna do?). wow, this is the first time i’m not in a terrible mood at work since the time i came in right after sex!

Hey, congratulations! I know that feeling very well indeed: the freedom, the relief, the sudden lack of tension you didn’t really realize was there. Ahhh. Feels good, doesn’t it? And if you take a job you actually like next, you’ll experience such a feeling for months at a time! Hope the future brings that for you.

I’m having fond memories of when I gave my two weeks’ notice at my last Real Job. The boss knew I’d be leaving, because I’d already asked and been approved for a four-day work week so I could build my solo business. When the time finally came, I turned in my letter a week before my previously scheduled week’s vacation – so I only had to work FOUR more days. Sweet.
