You two have obviously got all this more in hand than the next 30 aging couples. Bravo!! I bailed out of IT in my mid 50s. Could not take the continuous upgrades, revolutions, new paradigms, and the general need to drink from the “New and Improved!!!1!1!!” firehose every day just to stay in the same place. I feel your pain. ---

I told him I was 60 and his response was a very enthusiastic “I love your fucking energy man!” I then realized that I was the same age as their grandparents 😄. ---

When I was a kid my dad would gripe about prices, like “I remember when this was only…” I would roll my eyes. Now I do it. I also knew I was getting old when my high school music was on the oldies stations. ---

I do a lot of dancing in venues catering to much younger folks. I’ve found them universally welcoming. Just don’t get aggressive w their ladies; bring one of your own. They might be rolling their eyes w my back turned but most are somewhere between supportive & amazed I can keep up. Maybe like the apocryphal comment about the circus dancing bear: not that he does it well, but simple amazement that he can do it at all. 😉 Fun in any case & that’s all that matters. ---

Me too. I was in driver’s ed. By the time I graduated from driver’s ed & got my license it was $1.79. If you could get it at all. Talk about getting an “A” in Timing. ---

I remember gas being 19 cents. 16 during a gas war between stations. The former is fairly close to what I’ve paid for gas recently after adjusting for inflation. ---
