Maybe this is mundane and pointless, but it’s about music, so I put it here. Every year, San Francisco has the [Noise Pop Festival](http://www.noisepop.com/), where lots of indie bands play, blah, blah, blah. This year, a friend of mine who writes for [Crawdaddy!](http://crawdaddy.wolfgangsvault.com/) got me into their private Noise Pop party as a +1. Playing the party were **Port O’Brien** and my personal music hero **Bob Mould** (which is why my friend got me in; he knew I was a fan). Anyway, for the last song, Bob asked, “Does anybody here know the words to ‘Celebrated Summer’? Get up here, don’t be a chickenshit”. So I did. I sang it with him (pretty well, if I do say - I even managed to remember the words and not vomit). Anyway, it was the thrill of a lifetime for me. Just wanted to crow about it. ---

Well, I’ll give you a big old attaboy (attagirl?) for that one. After that breakup (you know the one, the real bad one everyone has where they’re all fucked up for a while?) I listened to \*“If I Can’t Change Your Mind” \* for about a year. Next time you see Bob tell him thanks. It was really cathartic. ---
