The moron is touching it about 1 inch below the big red \*\*DO NOT TOUCH \*\*sign. I suppose they mean DO NOT TOUCH the sign. ---

NASA quickly announced that [it was OK to touch it](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/photo-captures-mike-pence-ignores-nasa-s-do-not-touch-n780576). Not to excuse Pence, but I’m sure they are correct and no damage was done. Anything that has been precision-cleaned and literally cannot be touched by bare hands would be double-bagged, or single-bagged and sitting inside a cleanroom. ---

To be fair, the sign didn’t say not to touch the thing. The “DO NOT TOUCH” was in quotes, so it was merely reporting that _somebody else had said_ not to touch something. ---
