Well. I’ve seen it about 10 times. I don’t find it shmaltzy or cheesy - just really romantic.
HOWEVER, I have to admit that “Chik-flik” isn’t really my genre. My favorite movie is actually The cook, the theif, his wife and her lover. which of course is nothing like You’ve got mail.
Perhaps I’m just grossly under-exposed to this sort of film and so any sort of smootchyness makes me all misty eyed.
