Long ago was travelling late at night or early morning on a long drive at 60ish or better, bored. “Suddenly” this enormous deer entered my peripheral vision from the right and ran at full speed across the front of my car. Missed it by inches. Before I could think, the dog chasing it, watched his head explode off the front corner on passenger side. Yeesh. I tend to avoid driving at night whenever possible, for this reason, and the drunks.
