At least they actually mentioned the usurers. It amuses me no end to see Christian fundamentalist bigots (that is a restrictive noun phrase) picketing and inveighing against gay people, while you never see them picketing banks for the sin of usury, i.e. charging interest, which Christ condemns repeatedly. ---

I was a bit surprised when it turned out it was about a fundamentalist _Muslim_ declaring it was God’s punishment for deviating from the right path rather than a fundamentalist _Christian_ declaring it was God’s punishment for deviating from the right path. It’s interesting that for all their outward differences (e.g., Christian, Muslim, or Hindu), hardcore fundies are really pretty much alike. ---
