Yeah, it is frowned on. But you have to ask yourself…is it VALID? Is it valid for post parties to be frowned upon? THESE are the great questions of life. Which, if you think about it, is the raison d’etre of the Straight Dope. Well, as I cogitate, I would just like to say… CONGRATULATIONS! ---

**Res** told me yesterday that he was going to hell for a triple post, but now I see he’s made a quadruple post. 3144, as of this post, not the 3003 that’s showing. Plus all the posts that have been in threads that have been lost and deleted. So, to continue my endless harping of the point, not only are post count parties useless, they’re also never done at the right time. ---
