A thread complaining about people who hijacked a different thread to continue their stupid little private war, which thread itself is - 2. I am sure it would be nice to let you get away with such a straight line, but I have two possible explanations to my using that word. Unfortunately, neither is funny. ☹ The soul, it is claimed is what makes you, you, and relates to a pleasant idea of survival after death. However, the fact of it is, the soul is simply the ability to draw breath. Ancient people sometimes conceived of the soul as an animating spirit in the air, i.e. oxygen, and at other times, as being, a being that could escape your body if you weren’t too careful. Thus, the blessing when you sneeze. Another, equally unfunny reason, is that it is a culturally imposed habit, like saying “Jezus!”, when annoyed, as opposed to the some other word or phrase, like “Void it!” Oh, and Contrapuntal, the answer is no. ---
