Nine out of ten people I know have had a childhood episode of eating too many circus peanuts and heavin’ up an orange pool of circus peanut butter. It usually ended the circus peanut chapter of their lives. ---

I get a craving for circus peanuts every now and again. Something about the firm marshmallow texture that just dissolves in your mouth. There is almost a flavor, but I can’t identify it. Not banana as claimed. i can’t wait for Easter so I can freeze the moisture out of baby chicks. What a great crunchy treat! Or it could be just the sugar rush I crave. ---

I found that if you knead them for a bit they make a great insulation for those odd shaped cracks around old drafty windows. ---

I’ve been enlightened today. Until today, I thought circus peanuts were real peanuts sold at a circus. Now I’m more knowledgeable. Maybe Circus Peanuts aren’t available in Canada. ---

So how does everyone feel about Mary Janes? Admittedly its a poor man’s Bit-o-Honey, but I could suck down a dozen of 'em at a sitting if they were available. Don’t think I ever bought any though (maybe in penny candy stores). It’s usually the thing I raid a kid’s Trick or Treat bag for. Curiously, they don’t seem to mind. ---
