I like living in _____________, though oddly enough I hate________________.

Second this. It isn’t the skiing itself though that I dislike, but everything attached to the skiing experience - the cost, the amount of equipment you have to invest in, the long long lines of traffic waiting to get there, the sometimes fairly perilous drive to and from, the equally long lines to get to the top of the mountain, the cold and snow, etc.

I like living in a small city in central Iowa, but I hate not being able to play jazz or dress up now and then. There are things you just don’t do here, and those are two of them.

Me too (Kansas), plus I hate the stupid bastards who reelected him even though it was obvious he was driving the economy into a ditch. Now we have four more years of the same shit.

I like living in the beautifully green Willamette Valley of Oregon but, by March of each year, I actively and passionately hate the gray skies and the rain.

I like living in a city with a population of about 125,000, but hate the lack of good, unusual restaurants.

I like living in Oregon but don’t drink beer, micro-brew or otherwise. Nor do I hunt, ski, hike, fish or go boating, all big time activities in this state.

I’ve been on that very road. It is amazing. You can easily imagine you are the only person left on the planet.

I live in New Zealand and I fucking hate all the Lord of the Rings bullshit. I wouldn’t cross the road to watch a rugby game, either.

…but its so hot along that desert floor, you just KNOW its not heaven. That and I still can’t figure out what kind of termites leave those kids of holes in speed limit signs.

I live close to Canada… and I hate snow and cold and winter in general.
And every single friend of mine hates snow and cold and winter in general.
And everyone I work with hates snow and cold and winter in general.

But it does give us something to talk about from Thanksgiving to Easter…

I forgot to include basketball in my earlier post. High school basketball here is almost like high school football in Texas.

Hoosiers

I live in Bangkok and I like it, in spite of not being into any of the first five things that may pop in your mind when reading Bangkok.

I always tell people that the reason I like it is that it’s so easy to go somewhere else from here.

Not a pigeon fan, huh?

I spent 2 years in Cache Valley/Wellsville. Beautiful country.

I like living in Texas, but I hate football, guns, pickup trucks (as status vehicles, not working vehicles) and hunting.

I like living in London, but I don’t like all the people. You can’t go anywhere quiet, there’s always a queue, always someone there.

I like that everything is open 24/7, but at the same time it annoys me that even in the middle of the night, it’s still so damn busy!

Nope!

I don’t mind living in central Ohio, though I enjoy seeing other teams beat Ohio State in football.

I love having a home in Hawaii and like the people, the scenery, the weather (even the 200 inch annual rainfall), but I can’t stand Hawaiian music.

I live in a rural town in the northwest. I love the mountains and I love hiking but I hate camping and I hate hunting (and I get oddly annoyed at men who spend all winter hunting something. It doesn’t affect me in the slightest, but I find it so selfish and wasteful. I have less annoyance for men who go out once, fill the tag, and are done for the year.)
