PS, for girls a little nervous about razors in that delicate area? I actually use “Sensitive Area” Nair. Use cocoa butter or vaseline for the soft bits and then cover with cotton balls. Before trying this Do a TEST AREA FIRST ( I don’t want anyone having some allergic reaction)! Anyway, the vaseline and cotton balls keep the more delicate skin from getting any Nair on them. Once you’ve done the test area (24 hours I believe, the instructions are on the bottle), then you can use the nair all over the areas you want to de-hair. You don’t have to do it often, and there are no stubblies or red bumps. It’s very smooth and silky (and yes, more sensitive to a man’s touch). ---

I shaved a few times, and so did my husband. I enjoyed it immensely, as things are much more stimulated and sensitive for me, so now I wax the whole area, apart from a “landing strip”. Oral sex is much better for both of us this way. YPMV 😛 ---

My preference is for either shaved or, second choice, trimmed. The _au naturel_ look does nothing for me, visually, and (don’t take offence, ladies; this is just my perception) seems to indicate a lack of interest in the area in question. That could be a false perception, based on my personal experiences. But, I know my second wife, who did no trimming or shaving, also had some fairly serious issues about her sexuality. And, my current gf, who seems to have no sex drive, at all, does nothing, as well. So, for me, the appeal is a combination of factors. It looks better, it feels better, and it indicates a woman who is interested in sex in general, interested in stimulating her man (or woman), willing to take steps to improve her own enjoyment, and has a sensual side to her sexuality. I, personally, don’t buy the argument that it’s supposed to make her look prepubescent. A woman looks like a woman, not a child, whether she’s hairy, or not. I have to say, I don’t understand the reasoning behind leaving a tuft or strip of pubic hair, though. I don’t dislike it; I just don’t get it. Can one of you ladies comment on that? ---

I shave… totally … have done for about 2 years now. Mostly in terms of hygiene because it feels cleaner and nicer (I was a regular gym user when I started too) … I like the feel of it and I think most guys would perfer less than more there too… I’ve been with a guy who shaved there too and I thought that was kinda sexy too… the skin is so soft in that area … its a bit of a turn on (but I like hairy guys too, so I’m happy either way - well I would be if I had a guy but thats another story). ---

Every girl I’ve ever been with (ok, so it’s only two) has shaved down there. I wouldn’t know how to react to anything different. I think it may be something my generation just _does_. Who knows. And yes, I’ve shaved all the way too. It keeps my cup from twisting my pubes in a game. ---

Did it once just to try it and never looked back. It certainly is an interesting look/feel. (Stubble, however, does not make a happy combination with friction. Eeek.) I trim, personally. No one has ever really complained. I can’t make myself shave it all off. I suppose I will one day, just to see what it’s like. Au natural. I love the way Eve Ensler describes pubic hair as the _lawn around the house, the petals around the flower_. I trim when necessary, but since it’s currently no one’s business but mine, it’s au natural. ---

I really don’t mind keeping her one way or the other. When I’m bare, I feel sexy and slippery and when I’m not, I feel womanly and erotic… so it doesn’t truly matter. My boyfriend prefers her shaved as it truly does enhance oral sex and really, who am I to complain about him wanting to go down on me, right? FTR, he also shaves and I have to agree… it is a bit nicer than letting it all go. ---

My hubby shaves too, with his Mach 3 (even let me do it once!!). However, he only trims the pubic hair up top, since a bald crotch would look funny with his slightly hairy stomach and thighs. As for the landing strip? It’s what I’m used to, and it keeps me from feeling pre-pubescent. I’m surprised no one has mentioned the cleanliness factor during periods. HUGE benefit, as far as I’m concerned. (I didn’t always use tampons exclusively.) ---

karohubby INSISTS on no pubic touch-ups! He likes it wild and natural. The first few times he dived the bush, I opted to trim it for him, as he was getting hair caught in his throat, and, well, it ruined the mood. NO, karohubby cried, and promptly learned to navigate around the undergrowth. Let that be a lesson to youse men! Thank God. Cause not only does my skin burn like hellfire a few hours after shaving, trimming also makes it scratchy and uncomfortable. ---

I prefer a woman’s natural body, and keep hoping the current shaving fad will end (along with silicon breast implants and those stupid belly-button rings). Problems during cunnilingus are probably a matter of technique. As for cleanliness… it’s just hair; wash it. ---

I don’t like the way it feels if it’s not kept fairly short. Like **Honeydew** said ealier, if there’s something unclean feeling about, well, a crotchload of hair. I shaved everything for a while, but I’d have to do it every day or else have to deal with stubble (ugh), which didn’t feel so great either, naturally. Well, unnaturally. Anyway, I have thus gone the trimmed route. (Not to make my vagina sound like some sort of ornamental shrubbery or anything). The same should go for guys, in my opinion. Ideally, pubic hair should be able to be described as “well maintained.” I don’t want to be able to knit a sweater out of it, thanks. ---

I’m a natural blonde (though I’ve got it dyed dark right now) and have very little hair on other parts of my body. None on my upper thighs, none on my forearms, and only a tiny bit of fine fuzz on my shins (hardly any grows on the calves). But for some strange reason I’ve got enough of it on the “collar and cuffs”. So, again, it’s silkier and more sensitive to the touch to have the soft bits clean and smooth. ---
