I got an air pistol last year and I quite like it so far. It’s cheap and quiet enough that I can plink away whenever I want and accurate enough that I can see myself getting better at it, and that’s about all I need it to do. ---

I dated a guy for a while who was a history buff and collected unusual/exotic/collectible firearms. Mostly of the machine gun and 50-cal variety. On several occasions we took a bunch of these out to (mostly private) ranges and blasted away at old appliances and cars on full auto. That was really, really fun. I don’t think I’d see the point if they were toy guns, though. The fun was in blowing shit apart, or shredding paper targets, or actually trying to get a bit more skilled at hitting what I was aiming at. I also think that **JohnClay** should start a blog. I’d probably subscribe to it. ---

This thread got me thinking. I have a basket full of wine corks here. It would be cool as hell to have something that shot them. They are roughly .75 caliber. I’m thinking adult cork gun, here. Any ideas where to begin? ---

It was larger in size, had a 144 rubber band capacity, was tripod mounted, and was hand cranked like the original Gatling Guns. ---
