hmmmm… well theres a problem…I don’t know if we should first go out as friends with out parents near by…or just by ourselves. That’s whats bugging me. ---

Being in a similar situation, I’m gonna tell you what my friends told me, but hopefully you’ll listen: reach down and grab hold. Done? OK, now go ask her out. See, I decided to ignore that advice, figuring "I’m 19, that balls-out tactic never worked before, and I really like this girl, don’t want to f **k it up" so now I’m friends with her, but can’t stop thinking about her, and can’t get into any other relationship with her, because that would ruin the friendship…Goddam…I f** ked it up Oh yeah, don’t actually be grabbing yourself when you ask her out. ---

Well she’s…a skitso though. I think. Because sometime shes really nice and cute, other times (like today, I asked her for my pen back and then she said no and said my hair looked like crap and she laughed and her friends said dont be sooo mean to him, hes really cute and stuff) and other times she cant quit talking with me and she laughs and stuff. What’s wrong with her? IS she a skitsophrenic sadistic person or just…something else? ---

You seem like a pretty young guy, so let me let you in on a timeless secret that has passed down among our male gender for thousands of years – you can’t figure them out, so stop trying. Having been down a similar road myself lately, here is the best advice I can offer: do what feels right to you, not what seems most logical. Making decisions based on logic works virtually everywhere except when it comes to this type of thing. Don’t go all crazy with the ‘I love you’ grenade right off the top, but you’ll never know what can happen unless you just take the deep breath and try. Maybe it won’t work, maybe it will – how else are you going to find out? ---

She may be a **“skitsophrenic sadistic person”** , or she may just be a 13 year old girl that doesn’t know what to do. I hear there’s a fair number of those… Anyway, I second **Stainless** :do what feels right. You’re probably nervous about asking her out (I don’t think there’s a man alive who isn’t), but follow the lead of Babe Ruth: Step up to the plate, and swing. Either send it out of the park, or miss huge. ---
