Whenever I see Chris’ sig line, I always think of Haywood Banks. He’s a comedian that does a little song about toast. I looked and looked and finally found a little bit of the song here. There’s actually a little story behind the sig, from all the way back to the Spiffled gathering. It’s an insider joke, though, so…if you weren’t there, you just don’t get to know, sorry. Jewish rye or Russian rye, open-faced with butter. My toaster is too short for the bread I buy, though. I have to turn it around half way through, so the middle is usually toasted more than the edges. I also like to fry an egg overeasy and put it on top of my toast. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mmmmmmmmmm good! ---
