# I like what I see with WinXP, except...

I have never seen an uglier desktop. Are we forced to use that ugly ass Green Start button and Blue taskbar? I sure hope it can be changed.

I imagine there’ll be a way to change it eventually, either by thrid party app, or with some built in tool. Worst case you’ll be able to simply select the option to use the conventional NT-like GUI, a feature which I am certain is already included in the release.

You’ll be happy to know that the “Luna” interface, which you loathe so much, can be made to look very similar to the conventional NT style buttons. There are also skins available to change the colour scheme of the “Luna” interface. Already included in the final release is an Olive Green skin (yuk!) and a really neat Silver one!

You should be able to skin the taskbar from what I have read on the 'net…I agree the blue colour is jarring…but I do like some of the special affects that get applied to the net… and I really like the way that buttons appear on this web site…XP replaces them with a shaded 3d affect.
